Comprehensive Carbine

This is a two day class consisting of our Carbine Skills class on day one, and our Mag Ops (magnified optics) carbine class on day two. The goal is to learn exactly what you and your rifle are capable of with both close (50 yds and in) engagements, and far (out to 800+ yds).

Day 1:

Carbine Skills

This class focuses on the fundamentals of marksmanship, with major focus on your mount and connection to your rifle, and your vision.

Topics covered:

• Stance and mount
• Vision
• Predictive and reactive shooting
• Different levels of sight picture confirmation and trigger control
• Different ready positions
• Height over bore
• Reloads
• Malfunction clearing
• Target transitions
• Different shooting positions
• Moving while shooting 
• Arriving into position after moving

Packing List

-Rifle with zeroed optic and sling

-3 (minimum) magazines

-300 rounds of ammunition

-Ear and eye protection

-Weather appropriate clothing and solid shoes/boots

-Lunch and water

 

Day 2:

Mag Ops Carbine

This class focuses on pushing scoped carbines to distance.

-Scoped carbine weapon setup and equipment considerations
-fundamentals of marksmanship
-ballistics
-wind reading
-utilization of ballistic solvers
– alternate positions
-tripod employment
-support bag employment

Packing list:
-Rifle with magnified optic
-3 magazines (1) 20 rounder
-300 rounds of ammunition
-ear & eye protection
-Weather appropriate clothing
-Lunch & water

– support bag & bipod recommended

This class utilizes applied ballistics ecosystems and will focus on the usage of the applied ballistics quantum phone app as the primary ballistic solver.
