The Readiness Trials: Competitor

The Readiness Trials is a shooting and preparedness competition designed to test the competitors’ skills with their EDC pistol, their carbine, and their fitness, along with lots of other non-shooting skills. Shooters are encouraged to use the pistol they actually carry everyday, and the rifle they train the most with. All pistol work will be done from concealment.

Stages include:

• Combat Rifle
• Emergency Medical
• Shotgun Skills
• Vehicle Ambush
• Lockpicking
• Long Range
• De-escalation and combatives

Along with a few surprise stages.

Gear List:

• EDC Pistol with quality index style concealed carry holster, 2 spare magazines (3 total), and 150 rounds of your pistol caliber ammo
• Carbine with sling, 2 extra magazines (3 total), and 150 rounds of your rifle caliber ammo
• You will use the same pistol&rifle for the whole match
• 12 gauge shotgun (if you do not have one, one will be available for you to use)
• 20 rounds 12 gauge slugs
• Range bag or cart to transport your gear, ammo, and magazines from stage to stage
• Ear and eye protection
• Weather appropriate clothing (that you are able to complete physical activity in)
• Lunch, snacks, and water
• Anything else you normally EDC that you think may be useful on surprise stages
